The Tax Division represents AICPA members' tax interests in Washington. The Division works to improve the tax system for CPAs and the public, with a major theme of tax simplification.

Comments are developed by committees or technical resource panels and approved by the Tax Executive Committee, which is authorized to speak for the Institute on tax matters.

The Tax Division also creates practice guides, checklists, and other information and tools to assist members in their tax practices.
